About Danelle Harvey

After one listen to Danelle Harvey’s blend of smooth and husky tones you’ll understand why people say her emotion-filled voice “touches the soul and “melts hearts”.

Londoner Danelle’s soulful power vocals soar over her music; addictive Soul-Acoustic Folk-Rock fused with Hip-Hop beats and her occasional Reggae emceeing. Danelle plays Classical style guitar and adds her own string arrangements when the song suits. The Parliamentary Award winner, humanitarian and ambassador has worked with organisations including Shelter UK and former London Mayor Boris Johnson on initiatives for positive change. If Danelle’s face (or body!) seems familiar, it’s probably because they are; she has appeared in films including About a Boy and Love Actually.  She was also Nia Long’s body double in feature film Alfie.  TV shows include Clive Owen’s Second Sight, Bad Girls, The Bill, and Eastenders. Her captive tones and compositions are heard all over film, TV, and airwaves; Singer/Composer credits include Sony Playstation’s Dance Mat Advertising Campaign theme tune, Hollyoaks, Make me a Supermodel, R & B Divas, and shows on MTV, BBC, Sky Sports, and CNN. She is truly versatile and can apply her voice to many genres – her last single, on which she wrote and sang – was selected and released by renowned dance record label Ministry of Sound.

Danelle has performed at venues as diverse as London’s City Hall, Glastonbury, the Georgia State Capitol, and CM in Sri Lanka, shared the bill with artists including the late Amy Winehouse and Robin S, and worked with artists including P. Diddy, Meatloaf and Fun Loving Criminals. These and artists such as George Clinton and P-Funk give her kudos for her blazing performance, vocal power and raw emotion.

Random facts: Danelle has received a PRS For Music Foundation award for British Music Abroad. She really loves a good cuppa, keeping fit, and baking. The self-professed ‘glam nerd’ enjoys languages, books, and tech.  She also has a master’s in legal studies, and studies US and UK law. Danelle runs indie music licensing company Tygahoney Music, provides vocals via Online Session Singer, and empowers and coaches other 'musicpreneurs' via Female MusicPreneur – she also loves sunshine, a 'proper' cuppa, wearing 'kinis & leg warmers, and sending postcards and surprise sung birthday messages to her fans.
